On May 24, Kurumoch Airport celebrates the 5th anniversary of Czech Airlines’ inaugural flight from Samara.


TheCzech national airline (ČSA)entered the air transport market of Samara in May 2004. Before that, theAirline had operated its flights to Prague fromtwo Russian cities only – Moscowand Saint-Petersburg. 5 years ago, Samara became the third Russian regionconnected with the capital of the Czech Republic by the Airline’s scheduledflights. Initially, there were three weekly flights between Samara and Prague. ČSA further increased the flight frequency to four times aweek offering services on the Airbus A-319. 

Theregular flights between Samara and Praguehave been in growing popularity. They are not only for tourists wishing tovisit this City of a Thousand Spires. Today, the residents of the Samara regionas well as the entire Mid-Volga region can use Prague as a world hub for their onward traveland fly with ČSA and its Sky Teamalliance partners to a number of destinations all over the world. With itsextensive worldwide network, Sky Team members offer passengers more than 14,600flights a day, from 728 airports in 149 countries.

20 May 2009 New regular flights from Kurumoch Airport to Israel will start on May 26th with Russian airline “UTair”. 25 May 2009 Kurumoch Airport enhances services offering: tickets for passengers planning a rail journey.
