A total of 353,268 passengers were handled by theAirport since January till March 2012, which is 17.9% more than the figure ofthe same prior year period. The most considerable growth of passenger flow wasrecorded on international flights (both scheduled and unscheduled),demonstrating +37.7% result when compared with the prior year period. The number of tourists who preferred tochoose direct flights to Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh and Phuket has increased dramatically.At the same time, the most popular regular international flights were to Dubai, Prague and Frankfurt. The greatest number of domestic passengers washandled on Moscow and St. Petersburg destinations.
Otherfigures of the Airport business activity have also been raised. For the lastthree months Kurumoch recorded 4,400 aircraft movements, representing a 5.9%increase over the same period last year. In terms of maximum take-off weight(MTOW), it totaled 286,910 tons, which is an increase of 5.2% over the levelrecorded in the comparable period in 2011. Cargo and mail activities (includingtransit) also achieved positive results with a 14.2% increase, amounting to1,016.7 tons.
Such carriers as UTair, S7 Airlines, Aeroflot– Russian Airlines, OrenburgAirlines, Ural Airlines showed the most considerable increase in thefigures of January-March 2012.
