TheAirport handled a total of 155,103 passengers in the first month of autumn,which is an increase of 21,806 passengers (+16.4%) from a year ago. Especiallypopular domestic destinations last month were surely Moscow,Saint Petersburg, and Sochi. The total number of domestictravellers handled at the Airport this September was up 9.8% and amounted to91,845, while international passenger traffic (both scheduled and charter) grewby 27.4% as compared with the prior year period and amounted to 63,258. Regularinternational routes that experienced the most growth in September 2010 were Prague, Frankfurt, Tel-Aviv, Forli,Dushanbe, Yerevanand Tashkent, while the most popular leisureinternational destinations were Antalya, Barcelona, Varna,Heraklion, and Monastir.
Togetherwith the passenger traffic through Samara Airport, other figureshave also increased recently. In September 2010, mail and cargo traffic, includingtransit cargo, amounted to 394.8 tonnes, demonstrating growth by 31.2% over thelevel recorded in the comparable prior year period. The figures of maximumtake-off weight (MTOW) grew to 117,412 tonnes, up 6.1% compared with the samemonth last year.
Thestatistics for September 2010 records an increase in practically all keyfigures of the Airport’s business activity, as compared with the prior yearperiod.
Such carriers as “UTair”, “Donavia”, “S7 Airlines”, “Nordavia”,“Orenair”, “Avianova” showed the most considerable increase in the figures ofSeptember 2010.
