Accordingto the current data, the total number of passengers travelled through Kurumochlast February amounted to 111,525 which is an increase of 22.5% over thecorresponding month in 2011. There was a notable growth in passenger traffic onmost scheduled and charter flights to and from Samara (both international anddomestic). The total number of domestic travellers handled at the Airport this Februarywas up 12.2% and amounted to 78,633, while international passenger traffic(both scheduled and charter) grew by 57.1% as compared with the prior yearperiod and amounted to 32,892.
Themost popular destinations chosen by tourists for their journeys during the lastmonth were Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Dubai, Prague andFrankfurt as well as such popular winter-time resorts as Hurghada, Sharmel-Sheikh, Phuket and Pattaya.
Thetotal volume of mail and cargo (including transit cargo) handled at Samaraairport in February 2012 rose by 25.5% over the level recorded in thecomparable prior year period and amounted to 367.3 tones.
InFebruary 2012 the Airport recorded 1,390 aircraft movements, representing a 7.8%increase over the same period last year. In terms of maximum take-off weight(MTOW), it totaled 89,824 tons, which is an increase of 6.8% when compared withFebruary 2011.
Such carriers as "UTair", "S7 Airlines","Aeroflot - Russian Airlines" and “Ural Airlines” showed the most notable increase in thefigures of February 2012.
