Passengerstatistics show that in January 2012 Kurumoch handled a total of 117,450passengers, an increase of 17.7% as compared with the same period of theprevious year. The most considerable growth of passenger traffic figures wasrecorded on a number of regular domestic destinations but especially oninternational flights.
The numberof locally departing passengers was up by 16.3% when compared with January 2011and amounted to 74,756. At the same time the Airport handled 42,794 passengerstravelling on international flights (both scheduled and charter) that shows an increaseof 20.3% including 23,300 passengers who preferred to choose internationalregular destinations, up 43.2 % from a year ago.
The greatestnumber of the scheduled flight passengers is certainly recorded on the routesto Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Surgut, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg,Prague, Frankfurt and Dubai as well as such near-abroad cities as Kiev, Almaty,Dushanbe, Khujand, Tashkent, Yerevan and Baku. The most popular touristdestinations were Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Bangkok,Phuket, Goa and Cam Ranh. Besides more andmore Samara citizens show great interest in European tours including Paris and Verona.
Suchcarriers as “Aeroflot-Russian Airlines”, “Ural Airlines”, “Rossiya”, “TajikAir”, “Czech Airlines”, “Lufthansa”, “S7 Airlines”, “Globus” and “”UTair”showed the most considerable increase in the figures of January 2012.
