The scheduled surveillance audit was conducted within fivedays by independent auditors from Bureau Veritas Certification, a worldwideleader in compliance testing and certification. The company’s experts haveaudited a representative sample of the services and departments of KurumochAirport. Following the results of the audit, the Airport’s Quality ManagementSystem (QMS) has been recognised as effective and compliant with the Standardrequirements of ISO 9001:2008. Among the QMS strengths noted by Bureau VeritasCertification are the Airport’s lead management, infrastructure development, smoothlyrunning work activity management system, high-level educational servicesprovided at the Aviation Training Centre, and employees’ knowledge andcompetence. It is also recommended that the Airport continue to improve theeffectiveness of its QMS.
Following the results of the surveillance audit, KurumochInternational Airport has been recommended to maintain certification for thenext twelve months.

Kurumoch International Airportis the first Russian airport to successfully complete its certification auditto ISO 9001:2000. Certification has confirmed that allthe Airport services fully comply with modern internationally expectedstandards (Certificate № 200189 as of October 30, 2006, issued by BureauVeritas Certification).
The primary objectivesof the Airport's quality management (those of passenger, baggage, cargo, mailand customer airline’s aircraft handling - including navigational support,aerodrome flight support and prompt aircraft maintenance, flight safety, flightregularity, aviation security and also training performed at the Airport’sAviation Training Centre) have all met with the auditors approval.
In March 2009, Kurumoch Airport was recertified for the new ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systemstandard (the new edition of the standard was published in November 2008).
The Quality Management System implemented at Kurumoch allows the Airport to continuously improve the efficiency of its internal businessprocesses in response to changes in the air transport services market.
