Kurumoch International Airport has successfully completed its ISO 9001:2008 recertification audit of Quality Management System

This year the compliance audit was started on August 20 and lasted for three days. It was conducted by the auditors of Bureau Veritas Certification Russia, a worldwide leader in certification service. The company’s experts carried out the recertification audit in almost all the handling, aerodrome and flight support services of the Airport as well as advanced training services provided at the Aviation Training Centre. Among the Quality Management System (QMS) strengths noted by the experts are the Airport’s smoothly running work activity management, the use of automatic systems in operational management and effective documentation procedures.

The head of the Airport’s Quality Department Valentina Filina said: “It is the third ISO 9001 recertification cycle for Kurumoch International Airport. During this long period of time the QMS has been fully integrated into the general management system of the Airport. Conformity with the international quality standard gives us an opportunity to maintain high-quality level of services and successfully satisfy the needs of the airlines and other aviation customers providing the regularity and safety of flights. Positive characteristic given by the independent certification authorities is undoubtedly one of the most important indicators of the Airport competitiveness and customer-oriented approach.”

Kurumoch International Airport was primarily certified byBureau Veritas Certification in accordance with ISO 9001 in 2006. The ISO 9001:2008 certification is valid for a period of 3 years and then other surveillance audits are conducted annually. The next compliance audit will take place in 2013.
