Kurumoch International Airport has successfully completed its ISO 9001:2008 recertification audit.


Last March Kurumoch Airport was recertified for the new ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systemstandard (the new edition of the standard was published in November 2008). 

Todaythe Airport is proud to announce that we have successfully completed the 2009recertification audit process. 

The audit was conducted within five days by independent auditors from BureauVeritas Certification, a worldwide leader in certification services. Thecompany’s experts have carried out the recertification audit in accordance withthe approved plan in practically all the Airport’s services and departments.

Following the results of the audit, the Airport’s Quality ManagementSystem has been recognized as effective and compliant with the Standardrequirements of ISO 9001:2008.

We would recall that Kurumoch International Airportwas certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 in 2006. The ISO 9001:2008 certificationis valid for a period of 3 years, and then another audit will take place torecertify the Airport. In order to monitor continued compliance with theStandard, Kurumoch will have surveillance audits conducted by an externalauditor annually until the recertification audit in 2012.

The Airport is expected to undergo the next surveillance audit in 2010.

International Airport is the firstRussian airport to successfully complete its certification audit to ISO9001:2000. Certification has confirmed that all the Airport services fullycomply with modern internationally expected standards (Certificate № 200189 asof October 30, 2006, issued by Bureau Veritas Certification).
The primary objectives of the Airport's quality management (those ofpassenger, baggage, cargo, mail and customer airline’s aircraft handling -including navigational support, aerodrome flight support and prompt aircraftmaintenance, flight safety, flight regularity, aviation security and alsotraining performed at the Airport’s Aviation Training Centre) have all met withthe auditors approval.
The Airport has implemented a Quality Management System complying with therequirements of ISO 9001:2008. This allows the Airport to continuously improvethe efficiency of its internal business processes in response to changes in theair transport services market.
