Kurumoch international airport (part of Airports of Regions Holding) is preparing to serve about 300 flights in addition to the seasonal schedule during the World Cup. These flights are specially assigned to the world championship.
Of the total number of flights, 126 are domestic ones, the rest are international ones, flights with the national teams and the FIFA leaders, special flights with fans, and business aviation. Samara airport will receive such airlines as Swiss Air Lines, Iberia Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines System, Brussels Airlines and Air Leisure for the first time.
Besides, Samara airport will, for the first time, serve the wide-body Boeing 777-300ER with more than 400 Colombian fans to fly to Samara. Samara airport was licensed to service this type of aircraft in May 2018.
