Kurumoch passenger traffic in the first eight months of 2012 reported growth of 8.6% while international passenger volume increased by more than 17% year-on-year

During the first eight months the Airport handled 1 247 779 passengers, a 8.6% increase compared to the figures recorded in the relevant period of 2011.
 
The traffic of international travellers continued to surge ahead with growth of 17.1%, the number of such tourists amounted to 509 114. The most considerable increase in the international sector (21.4%) in the figures of January-August period was on the regular routes to Prague, Dubai and Frankfurt as well as near abroad capitals Dushanbe, Yerevan and Tashkent. International charter flights demand was 14.3% higher than the year-ago eight months. The most popular tourist cities were Antalya, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh and Barcelona.
 
The upward trend in the domestic sector continued in the previous eight months with a 3,5% year-on-year increase. Overall during this period Kurumoch International Airport handled 738 365 domestic passengers. The greatest number of passengers preferred to travel from Samara to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.
 
Other operating figures of Samara Airport have also increased recently. Kurumoch cargo business (mail and cargo together with transit) in the figures of the last eight months was 14.4% better than it was a year ago (3 173 tones). The number of aircraft movements was 14 012, which is 4.5% more than in the first eight months of 2011.
 
Such airlines as “UTair”, “Orenair”, “Ural Airlines” and “S7 Airlines” demonstrated the most considerable increase in January-August 2012.
