Kurumoch has received a Skytrax certificate

Kurumoch international airport (part of Airports of Regions Holding) has received a 4 stars Skytrax certificate. The ceremony of awarding of the airports audited in 2017 was held in Stockholm yesterday, as part of Passenger Terminal EXPO, the largest trade exhibition. Samara Airport received four stars out of five in the rating of Skytrax, an authoritative research company, in the summer 2017: Skytrax’s specialists completed the audit of Samara Airport in July.

Such a status ranks Kurumoch together with other holders of the award, such as airports of Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, San Francisco and other cities. At the time of assignment, only 37 airports across the globe had the rating of 4 stars Skytrax, with only three of such airports in Russia. Only eight airports in the world has been ever assigned the maximum rating of 5 stars. As part of the audit, Skуtrax experts try on the role of an ordinary passenger: they pass through screening, passport control, visit cafes and shops located at the airport. Everything was evaluated: from navigation and cleanliness to Wi-Fi speed and the ability of the staff to help passengers in English. Following the results of evaluation of each of numerous parameters, an airport is awarded the number of stars.

As part of the Skytrax World Airport Awards-2018, Samara Airport took the third place in the category “The Best Regional Airport of Russia and the CIS”. The winners of this rating include, among other, Koltsovo International Airport (Yekaterinburg) and Platov International Airport (Rostov-on-Don), so Airports of Regions took three positions at once in the Skytrax rating in 2018. The World Airport Awards is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the quality of service. The award is also called the Passenger’s Choice Awards, as it is awarded on the basis of feedback from passengers. About 13.7 million travellers took part in the survey, which was held from August 2017 until February 2018
