In the first nine months Kurumoch passenger traffic climbed 8.2% year-on-year.

Kurumoch International Airport announced global traffic results for January-September period of the year 2012 showing a general upward trend in both domestic and international destination.

During the above stated period Samara Airport handled 1 441 715 passengers and saw 8.2% growth in comparison with the relevant 2011 results. Domestic demand was 3.7% bigger than it was a year ago while international passenger flow rose 15.3%. Such Russian cities as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg were the most attractive for passengers in the last nine months. Most of the tourists who traveled abroad preferred to fly to Prague, Dubai and Frankfurt but also chose such leisure destinations as Antalya, Hurghada and Barcelona. 

Other Airport operating figures have also jumped comparing with the previous year period. Mail and cargo business (together with transit) expanded by 13.5% year-over-year (3 597 tones). At the same time MTOW was up 2.8% (1 029 593 tones) and the number of aircraft movements amounted to 15 994 which is an increase of 13.5% when compared with January-September period of 2011. 

Such carriers as "UTair", "S7 Airlines", "Aeroflot - Russian Airlines", “Orenair” and “Ural Airlines”  showed the most notable increase in the thirst 9 months of the year  2012.
